Avril McDonald - featured in the Bromley Borough News

‹Avril McDonald, author of the recently published Feel Brave series of ˜little stories about big feelings™, has been featured in The Bromley Borough News having attended the opening of a library bus alongside the town mayor at Mead Road Infant School in Chislehurst.

Avril presented her newly released Feel Brave series of books to the children before the mayor officially cut the ribbon, and friends, parents and neighbours joined in the afternoon for Avril McDonald™s book signing and tea party on the school grounds.

Nina Jackson introduces Daniel the poet, age 7½

Nina Jackson, self-appointed ˜fizz ambassador™ and author of Of Teaching, Learning and Sherbet Lemons, has written a new post on her TeachLearnCreate blog in admiration of a young poet named Daniel who has recently become a bit of a revelation on Twitter following a poem he wrote about living with Tourettes.

Vic Goddard featured in TEDxNorwichED’s Speaker Spotlight Series

Vic Goddard, author of The Best Job in the World and star of the BAFTA nominated Channel 4 documentary Educating Essex, was a speaker at the TEDxNorwichED event on the 19th of March, where he shared his ˜ideas worth sharing™ about education and offered his own interpretation on the ˜Think Differently™ theme.

Vic was a great hit on stage as he reflected upon lessons learnt about his school, teaching and the world in general through letting ˜Reality TV™ in while drawing some meaningful, insightful and important conclusions (you can watch his talk here), and has since been featured in a ˜backstage-style™ interview with Leah Stewart as part of TEDx™s Speaker Spotlight Series.
