Kathleen Ginn MIAC, Rapid Sensory Learning Seminars
This book was nothing like I was expecting and pleasantly surprised to see the content of the book being towards connecting with the 'spirit of the earth' predominantly through the Native American Indian teachings. These type of stories that demonstrate the universal nature of principles and concepts are valuable whether they are used within class rooms or within circles that encourage 'spirituality'.
People definitely learn through stories because it engages the imagination and it is known that geniuses think in pictures, so stories encourage people to engage their genius potential.
This book would be very powerful if it had an audio accompaniment as stories are essentially auditory in nature and listening to the tape whilst also reading would definitely make the learning of the concepts of each metaphorical story that much more powerful.
However, the guided visualizations are great ways to engage the whole brain and to allow a person to transcend the bustling agitated beta brain waves into an alpha relaxed state of awareness, thereby opening their own minds and bodies to better learning.
