I found this series really different, offbeat and although it tackles grief, anxiety and other mental health issues, it's still so much fun to read and the plot kept me turning the pages. I often get people asking me for recommendations for kids who are 11-13 years old and who want to read more YA but aren't ready for some of the darker stuff and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this for them. Edie is a gutsy, brave character with a will of iron and a stubborn streak that gets her into a whole lot of trouble – I could really relate to her. Also I used to live in Crouch End and Edie and I were on the same bus route!
