Even when I use regression or parts therapy, suggestions and imagery are used at both the first and last session,so there is always a place for well written scripts. Lynda Hudson`s More Scripts and Strategies in Hypnotherapy is filled with useful ideas. Her hypnotic phrases included in the opening chapter are so excellent that they would likely be praised by Erickson himself! She blends many other metaphors throughout her book. Many of Hudson`s offerings are slanted for medical uses of hypnosis, which is great for hypnotherapists who work with medical referrals. The author`s `soothing liquid calm` for IBS is masterful; and she also offers some unique scripts for pain management, as well as for pregnancy and childbirth.
